Topic: Will two HDSP 9652 PCI cards work as one?

Hi guys, quick one here, I have an HDSP 9652 PCI card. If I added a second HDSP 9652 PCI card in my computer, would the RME ASIO drivers see it as one card or would I still have to choose one or the other as inputs in my DAW?

You can't route between the cards in TM FX, but in the DAW.

Yes.
They do need to be synced. And if you need to route between them you have to use your daw (as said above) or use a digital connection between the cards.
As expected you can route 2 channels over spdif and do the sync in one go. Or 8 channels over a adat connection of course. But you do loose that connection for other uses. Of course if you only need sync you can use word clock and not loose anything. Maybe there is also an internal clock header but not sure about that.
