Topic: UFX+ with a Dangerous 2 Bus +

Hi

Hope i am in the right place to ask this question.

I already own a UFX+ and i would like to add a Dangerous 2 Bus Plus for analog summing.

From what i gather the UFX+ has high quality AD/DA conversion ? so i can go out of the UFX+ to the Dangeours Unit and then stright back to the UFX+ ?

Is that correct or do i need an additional AD?DA converter?

Thanks

BTW ... I do not see where you might see potential issues ?

Is this a question in terms of specs or routing or both ?

yes / no

If you compare the specs the UFX+ has even the better values for SNR, THD, channel separation.
So if you should be worried in terms if "quality loss" .. not with the UFX+.

Specs of the Dangerous unit according to vendor:
Max Input Level > +28 dBu
THD+N @+4dBu: 1KHz, unweighted, 22Hz to 22kHz < 0.0048%
THD+N @+22dBu: 1KHz, unweighted, 22Hz to 22kHz < 0.0026%
Crosstalk rejection: > 108dBu @ 1KHz
Noise at Unity Gain: 22Hz to 22KHz: < -86dBu
Noise at Nominal Mix Setting: 22Hz to 22KHz: < -91dBu

Specs of the UFX+
AD, Line In 1-8, rear
- Signal to Noise ratio (SNR): 113 dB RMS unweighted, 116 dBA
- THD: < -110 dB, < 0.00032 %
- THD+N: < -104 dB, < 0.00063 %
- Channel separation: > 110 dB
- Maximum input level: +19 dBu
DA, Line Out 3-8, rear
- Dynamic range (DR): 115 dB RMS unweighted, 118 dBA
- THD: < -110 dB, < 0.00032 %
- THD+N: < -104 dB, < 0.00063 %
- Channel separation: > 110 dB
- Maximum output level: +19 dBu
