Topic: The Babyface Pro FS in this synthesizer setup

Hi,

I'm looking for a mixer or audio interface that would be the cornerstone of my setup: MODX, MPC Live, and Cubase on my Mac, plus Cubasis on iPad Pro.

I did some researches for something with:
- Low latency, DSP technology
- Class-compliant (iOS)
- Great Preamps (with nice gain/noise ratio for my Shure SM57 mic)
- USB powered (not necessary but a cool feature for portability)

I ended up with Babyface Pro FS as a top contender.

Do you guys have insights about this setup or how this interface would play nice in it, or what you are using or would use instead in this configuration?

Thanks a lot for your help and time

Re: The Babyface Pro FS in this synthesizer setup

If you want to get an overview of RME Firewire, USB, Thunderbolt interfaces, then have a look into this blog article from my collection: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … B-MADIfac/

In the Excel Sheet, which you find in this blog article, I collected several interesting details about the recording interfaces from manual and this forum: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/index.ph … 0-08-xlsx/

The Babyface Pro FS has just been updated and got some great additional features over the former version of the product.
These updates are all listed on the RME product page, see: https://www.rme-audio.de/de_babyface-pro-fs.html
It has currently the fastest converters.

If you need mobility and a compact recording interface with proven mixer software (TM FX), this product is for you.
