i have the challenge with my RME Fireface 400 that i get sporadic and irregular stutter, pops & dropouts.

This is especially noticeable on Youtube, Spotify or direct playback of audio files via Windows.

I have already tried different buffer sizes, even without success and it cannot be due to the performance of my PC system.

Other PCI-E Firewire cards and Firewire cables were not successful either.

(I use the legacy driver)

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Is my rme fireface possibly also defective? i only recently bought it used.
