Topic: ADI-2 Pro outputs.

Hello,

I am contemplating either purchasing the ADI-2 FS or the ADI-2 FS Pro. I am interested in using the four outputs to 4 different amplifiers, bypassing a preamplifier. Would the Pro be better suited for this or should I split the output of the ADI-2 FS instead?

Thanks,

drb

Re: ADI-2 Pro outputs.

If you don't need different signals (DSP processing, EQ, different sources) or separate volume control you can split the ADI-2 DAC's outputs to as many amplifiers as you want.

That's true for almost every analog output, except most direct coupled tube preamps.

Re: ADI-2 Pro outputs.

I will not have different sources, but DSP processing and EQ might be helpful.

Thanks,

drb

Re: ADI-2 Pro outputs.

ADI-2 DAC has one stereo DAC and output (split to XLR balanced and Cinch unbalanced), with one instance of DSP processing total.

ADI-2 Pro has two stereo DACs and outputs, plus a stereo ADC and analog input, with a total of three instances of DSP processing.

ADI-2 FS - the one without LCD display - has stereo i/o and no DSP.
