Topic: Fireface 802 not recognised until reboot

All of a sudden my 802 is not detected when I turn it on (when the computer is running) or if I disconnect USB and re-connect. The blue USB light usually turns on (not always) but the machine doesn't see the 802.

I must restart my Mac for the 802 to be recognised. This is a considerable problem for me.

I've used the 802 for 3 years without ever experiencing this problem, until now.

I've reinstalled the drivers which didn’t solve the problem.

Please help.

Re: Fireface 802 not recognised until reboot

I narrowed this issue down. The 802 hot swaps and is recognised perfectly on another machine, so something is wrong with my USB (type A).

Resetting PRAM and NVRAM doesn't help. (I also physically cleaned the USB port on my machine.)

Are there any other suggested fixes that might help? All other USB devices are functioning fine.
