Topic: ARC USB Remote - Control Room follows snapshot?
Is there a way to make it so that snapshots don't include Control Room data (master fader, headphone level, mute and dim)?
I am trying to use the remote to audition many sources by a/b ing them, ie mixes in the box versus running through various analog gear. For example one snapshot has the software playback of the DAW going to Main and in the other snapshot the Input for my Mixer back into the UFX is solo'd to the Main out. A third uses a the software plackback of an ADAT output sent to main to listen
When I switch back a forth between snapshots the master volume levels, phones levels, mute and dim follow the snapshot. I know that I can in manually and change all the levels and resave the snapshots but that is both cumbersome and very easy to be prone to error. For example if I've made a small change to snapshot while in headphones and the main mute is engaged, or I want to AB with headphones only but the snapshot was created with main not muted.
I understand there are ways around this issue but IMO Control Room info (master fader, headphone level, mute and dim) being included in snapshots renders the ARC Remote much less functional as a monitor controller, the main fuction it would be used for in most music production situations!
