Topic: Babyface Pro FS issue with Class Compliant on iPad

Hey, I have an issue with my Babyface Pro FS and iPad Pro 2018 (iPadOS 14.3).

I can't change the Current Sample Rate. TotalMix always just shows "Current Sample Rate: 44100 Hz". Yesterday all works fine! "Background Mode" btw. is active.

Rebooting the iPad, disconnect all cables, restarting the Babyface and / or start app AUM again, total reset in TotalMix app does not help. The Babyface is of course in Class Compliant Mode and for several times I switched CC on and off and always activated CC again, but no luck so far.

I had this issue with the older Babyface Pro too. (!)

Any clue what to do?

Thanks for the nice video!

If you change preferred sample rate and the real sample rate doesn't follow then a background process is running that has set that sample rate and uses it (blocks the change). Search on your iPad what you installed, what other app is open in the background, and what app might have installed a crazy helper/widget or so that causes this even when its main app is not open.

thank you for answering!

Only these three apps are running:

- Quantiloop Pro
- AUM
- TotalMix

I'm unsure what is the problem here. After doing a reset of the iPad it works again - but just temporary.

There must be something is not in good symbiose with AUM, QL and TotalMix.

I can't imagine it's an TotalMix / Babyface issue or is it just because AUM is maybe bit experimental piece of app? Hm...

QL just seems stable to me. I mean: running only QL and TotalMix - that works mainly fine.

AUM and TM FX have no problem with each other...

AUM does load everything properly but not this QL IAA. Maybe Stephan Marx, dev of QL could help.

Btw: it's still this issue here cellist ( smile ) ecce_cello has too! It's an IAA zombie issue. That's also what the dev of AUM told me some minutes ago.

The question is: how to kill all these zombies?

I restarted the iPad and no apps are open, I closed them all before restarting the iPad, but no luck no get my cello input to my headphones on Babyface.

Okay, it works for me now: *without* using this TotalMix iPad app. It's just in clinch with Quantiloop it seems, so I deleted the app. I do now all the routings in AUM and that's okay. Not the cleanest solution but okay.

That doesn't seem right. All you have to do is disable the Background mode and the behaviour would be the same as now. But you could still use and set TM FX in-between.
