Topic: Assistance with spdif out - SOLVED

Hello, hope everyone is doing well smile

I have an RME HDSPE PCIe card installed in my W7 desktop. I have spdif coming out of a BO968 to my CraneSong Avocet2. Everything was working fine, until two weeks ago, where I noticed I had no signal to the Avocet. I rebooted, but nothing. Analog works, but not spdif.

I worked with RME USA tech support, and we did a loopback, determining that both spdif and AES are coming out, and going
back in. We also updated the driver. So, it appears to not be the card nor the BO cable. I swapped the BO cable, just for fun, BTW smile

I tried three different RCA cables (two 75ohm Coax, the other a basic Radio Shack cable). The spdif connector on the Avocet is solid. I also tried a diff computer (diff MB & CPU). I have no other piece of gear that has spdif, save for my Lexicon PCM-91, and that sees the spdif in from the BO cable, tho it goes into a clipping feedback loop after a few secs, which is weird.

I have AES from the card to the Avocet, but not spdif. Here are screens of my setup:

Can anyone think of anything for me to try before I send it in to CraneSong?

Thanks in advance.

--edit-- The Avocet - somehow, and believe me, I didnt do this - came out of spdif mode. All is well now.
