Topic: Mute input so the signal wouldn't go to a WDM device

Hi!

In the pandemic situation, I am working remotely and using my audio PC to participate in Zoom meetings. I have my nice Stam SA87 mic connected through a Mic input of UFX+ with 48V enabled.
To have the input signal in Zoom, I created a respective WDM device, which I set up in Zoom settings as audio input, and everything works fine.

But, I would like to be able to mute my microphone when I am not speaking, and to program a button on my ARC USB device to toggle that.

Unfortunately, I can't find a way how to do that. The Mute button on the Mic strip in TotalMix FX, of course, does not mute the input -- it mutes passthrough of input into the selected output. The WDM outputs are not visible in TotalMix, and I can't mute it that way.

Are there any ideas on how this can be implemented?

Re: Mute input so the signal wouldn't go to a WDM device

Resolved:
Sent input to some unused output (e.g. ADAT 8), and enabled a Loopback. Then created a WDM device for ADAT8. That way, I could use the mute function of Mic input linked to ADAT 8 output, and assign it to ARC USB.
