Topic: ADI-2 DAC does not recognise headphone connected

My RME is stuck with Line out as the output even though I only have headphones connected to the phone output and no line out connected. How is that possible? It does output to the headphone though.

Settings are wrong
Go to dac settings and set toggle headphones ect...
It will then change to headphones .

Sorry, but this answer is too general for me to act upon. I've been going through the menus non-stop and cannot figure it out. The manual says, if I'm not mistaken, that it will detect headphones automatically.

Setup menu
Mute line vs phone.
That’s what mine is set to.
It should activate phones when plugged in.
