Topic: power draw of rme adi-2 dac fs

i want to use a device that will send a 12v trigger to my monoblock amps, since the rme dac has no 12v trigger.

my idea is to plugnthe rme dac into another device like a smart power strip which detects a 15w power draw from the rme dac and sends a 12v signal to my amps to turn them on.

the device needs at least a 15w power draw.

can someone from rme confirm the dac fs draws 15w?

Re: power draw of rme adi-2 dac fs

no. The dac is very efficient and does not draw that much

Re: power draw of rme adi-2 dac fs

any idea what i could use as a trigger to my amps sine the rme has no 12v trigger?

These so called Master/Slave powerstrips come in different flavours.

Get one that is more sensitive.
ADI-2 DAC draws a nominal 7 W line power when idle.

Or use a switched power strip for the amps, close to where you sit.

I noticed this - a remote-control power strip for only £$E20:
