Topic: Old HDSP PCI and Startech Adapter with Sonnet Echo SE1

Any of you guys tried this? The Startech PCI Express to PCI Adapter Card?   I've been searching around and can't seem to find the answer.  I emailed Sonnet but haven't heard back.  Not sure about the "LP4 Power Connector Included for Universal Voltage PCI Cards (3.3V/5V)" on the Startech adapter. Does the RME PCI card need power from that when plugged into the Sonnet?  I'd love to be able to aggregate my Multiface with my Lynx Hilo and get more I/Os but I only have the old PCMCIA and PCI cards and prices in the used market is pretty ridiculous.

Thanks guys

That adapter has been mentioned several times in this forum, for example:

Yeah I saw that post.  It works for a desktop mobo.  Wondering if it works inside the Sonnet Echo SE1.  Only posts I've ran into is people using the Express 34 Card with the Sonnet Echo 34 Express.

Re: Old HDSP PCI and Startech Adapter with Sonnet Echo SE1

It's all good.  Might just have to retire my Multiface.  Kinda bummed.  It's such a solid device.  I would be able to use it but I'm running a trashcan Mac so I have no PCI slots like an old Windows computer.  HDSPe PCIe cards are super expensive used.  Might as well just buy another interface for that money.

Thank you!
