Topic: Qobuz and Listening Preferences with ADI-2 FS DAC

Set Up:
ADI-2 DAC FS
Dell PC with Windows 10 Pro
USB Cable (Type A & Type B)

Headphones:
IEM Campfire Andromeda &
MASSDROP X SENNHEISER HD 6XX HEADPHONES

Connections / Cabling
The music streamer service I use is Qobuz and PC is connected to the modem/router via ethernet
USB Cable (Type A & Type B)

Question is?
I am not sure whether I have optimised my playback
The drivers I installed give me the audio outputs as follows

INTERNAL
+ Analog (1+2) (RME ADI-2 DAC)
ASIO MADIface USB

But the other options are
Wasapi - Analog (1+2) (RME ADI-2 DAC_
Wasapi (Exclusive Mode0 - Analog (1+2) (RME ADI-2 DAC)
Directsound - Analog (1+2) (RME ADI-2 DAC)
Asio ASIO MADiface USB - this is the one I have been using
DirectSound - Primary Sound Driver

Can anyone help determine which is the right one to use to get the best sound for my set up please?
And explain these options to me

Re: Qobuz and Listening Preferences with ADI-2 FS DAC

Use ASIO MADIface and do a test with the sample files from rme (http://www.rme-audio.de/download/bit_test_wavs.zip)
If they all show the correct result (check the manual), then your setup is good. If you have bitperfect playback then there is nothing else to change.

Re: Qobuz and Listening Preferences with ADI-2 FS DAC

David,

Sorry.  I should have seen your post sooner.  Indeed, the RME Bit-Test is the best way to ensure that your Data Path (PC>DAC) is un-corrupted.

I'm configured a bit differently, but ALWAYS get the "White Screen of Happiness" smile   (Bit test PASS)

With that, any SQ issues lay elsewhere.

Have fun, and Enjoy your fine RME!
