I would like you to tell me what are the settings to do for the following instruments, in Totalmix
I am using input 3 & 4 as they have the Hi-z choice.

All this without any D.I. Boxes:

Passive semi hollow electric guitar in the gibson 335 style.
I think it should be Hi-Z (instr) on. But what about the choices of “Low, +4, -10)?
When do you adjust the trim level, and when do you choose “Autoset”?

Active bass: what settings to use? (See above)

Levels: what should be the desired level in the level bar for recording the best?

And lastly, do cable type make a big difference when you not running a long length (like in a home studio)?
Right now, All I have is unbalanced guitar cables even for the output to the speakers, should I change and get balanced or TRS cables?
