Topic: Ref Level to Musical Fidelity A3.2

Hello everyone!

I am a new owner of the ADI-2 DAC FS and I need help choosing the optimal settings for my system. I looked through a few threads about Ref Level, but I don't fully understand how to convert dBu values. My configuration is ADI-2 DAC FS + Musical Fidelity A3.2 + KEF R300. I found the following information about the amp in the manual:

Power output at 1kHz for 0.5% distortion: 115 Watts per channel into 8 ohms
Total harmonic distortion 1kHz: < 0.007%
Frequency response 10Hz to 20kHz ± 0.3dB
Channel separation: > 85dB 20Hz to 20kHz
Input sensitivity line inputs: 300mV, 200k ohms
phono input MM    3.5mV, 47k ohms
phono input MC     350µV, 47k ohms
Signal / noise ratio line inputs: > 103dB ‘A’-weighted,
(ref.120 Watts, 8 ohms ) > 95dB unweighted
phono MM: > 96dB ‘A’-weighted
> 89dB unweghted
phono MC: > 88dB ‘A’-weighted
> 82dB unweighted

What should the settings be like in such a case?
• Reference level:?
• Auto Reference Level on / off?

Re: Ref Level to Musical Fidelity A3.2

Most use +7 with volume fixed at 0.0.
Your amp is rca?  2v
I would think the above setting would be fine.

There are others on this forum which have more knowledge, try the above.

Look here how to set this up without even needing to know about amp specs:
