HI ,

I have been using a Rme Hammerfall 9652 soundcard for years now and running an Adi 8 - Ds adat.
I use focusrite isa preamps into the adi then adat into the 9652 card.

I am wanting to try and upgrade my signal path, everything is working fine but I just want to try and get a bigger more open sound and because I have used this setup forever I am not sure what the next upgrade for me to do would be that would be noticeable.
( I have tried some higher end mic preamps , but they werent much different)

I am not sure if still running adat is holding me back as I see there are  many different ways people are connecting now and seems adat is a thing of the past.

Any suggestions or if you think this setup still stands up today please let me know.
