I run the old Babyface and love it, but want to expand to 16 line i/o. (without ditching the BF/buying an 802+arc)

I was thinking to add Digiface usb + ferrofish 16 and using them all together. Though, I understand the DF and BF drivers are separate and work independently.

So, could i get away with this:

Use one of the 2 spare pairs of adat i/o on the Digiface, send it to the babyface for monitoring, headphones and, heck, a spare  analog in.

Essentially preserving the Babyface  as a monitor controller and spare DAC/ADC.

This seems to best the best way to upgrade for the planet and my wallet.

Is this a viable solution?
