Topic: Dante Matrix Router Latency

Hi all.

I just picked up the digiface dante and wanted to ask about my potential application as an matrix router for live use.

What is the latency if I wanted to for example sum the dante feeds of 2 or more foh consoles to route to the amps?

Typical setup would be yamaha or other consoles with dante to the aes outputs of yamaha stage boxes to d&b amps

Is this a bad idea because of added latency?

The latency is extremely low, as long as the signal gets routed/mixed in the Digiface box. That's the beauty of TotalMix.

I don't know the exact numbers. My brain registered those as "negligible".

TM FX is typically 3 samples only.

Amazing. Thank you for the responses. Will be nice to start deploying this on events.

Now if only there was delay. Would be amazing to have it, but fortunately amp dsp's have it.
