Topic: BigSur - Fireface 400 driver not working

Hi,

My system: iMac 27''(late 2015) 32GB RAM, 1TB HD, Fireface 400

I've just upgraded to Big Sur and have installed the latest driver 3.40. After restarting the comp the FF400 doesn't show and can't open the rme apps.
I've tried to fix it following the recommendation at https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=33277.
I've got into the Recovery Mode, have open the terminal and I've tried:

[-bash-3.2# kmutil trigger-panic-medic --volume-root "/Volumes/Macintosh HD"
[-bash-3.2# kmutil trigger-panic-medic --volume-root/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD
[-bash-3.2# kmutil trigger-panic-medic --volume-root /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD
[-bash-3.2# kmutil trigger-panic-medic --volume-root /Volumes/MacintoshHD

The error is kmutil: command not found

Any idea?

Re: BigSur - Fireface 400 driver not working

Sounds like something is odd with either your installation of Big Sur or the terminal instance you are in. Google “man kmutil “ to see if that gives you any further ideas.

Re: BigSur - Fireface 400 driver not working

Thanks rAC. I've tried searching but no luck.

I've fixed it by uninstalling Totalmix and Fixeface Setting apps and reinstalling the driver version 3.391.
All good now smile
