Topic: Fireface 400 - HOST Led red & 'Unable to list Firewire Devices'

Hello,

I just bought a second hand, pristine looking Fireface 400, tried it with Mojave, Catalina on my Macbook Pro 2015 and an old white macbook on Snow Leopard - all of the System Profilers say 'Unable to list Firewire Devices' and the HOST LEd stays red.
The FUT upgrade tool also does not detect any fireface.

Is there anything i can do about this? Check something else?
Thanks for any suggestions.

all the best,
bernd

EDIT: It also isn't seen by my Mac Pro 5,1 (only shows the built-in hub) via two different 800->400 cables, my (for this test disconnected) tc powercore-setup works without troubles.
