Looking for the lightest way to run AVB + OSC a distance, during non-critical, rehearsal situations.

The manual for the Digiface AVB indicated that it includes a network driver, and is accessible as a network device with an IP address over USB.

If I have a Digiface AVB networked with a MOTU AVB unit, and I wanted to send OSC to the IP for that MOTU unit, does the network device onboard the Digiface AVB allow me to communicate with the larger network? Or is it only to access a single IP utlized by the RME device?
