Topic: Fireface 800 dead - got any troubleshooting tips?

All of a sudden it's just dead. NO lights. Nothing. I verified that it wasn't the power cable.

I opened it up and tested that 120v are getting from the IEC power jack to the main power board but stopped there.

I assume it's the power supply. Does anyone have any tips on how to verify this with my multimeter? I am a decent solderer and a novice at electronics over all.

If it is the power supply anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Seems like a failed power supply to me. If you want to do DIY replacement of the internal part, you can get that from your local RME distributor. For the USA, that is rme-usa.com and you need the NT-RME-4 part for the Fireface 800.
