Topic: [Solved] ASIO drivers missing for Babyface Pro FS on Windows 10
I am trying to get the Babyface Pro FS setup on a Windows 10 laptop. I installed the latest drivers from the RME website and rebooted the computer. I also installed the latest firmware on the Babyface Pro FS. I then rebooted the computer again. However, when I view a list of the available sound devices, I can see the "Babyface", but it only shows "MME" or "Windows WDM-KS".
I saw a related post on the form from 2018 (https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=27371). There was some speculation about various issues, but there was no true solution (other than running the program in admin mode). I tested by running my own software (Audacity) in admin mode, but that did not work.
The other solution appeared to be starting from scratch with a fresh Windows 10 install. Luckily I had a brand-new laptop that had not been set up. So, I went ahead and set it up and then installed the Babyface drivers (first thing I did on that machine). Same issue, no ASIO drivers. I then let Windows 10 install all updates and then updated the laptop firmware. Rebooted. Still no ASIO drivers.
I'm a bit stumped as to what to do next. Note that all ports are USB 3+ (these are new laptops so they do not come with any USB 2 ports, but USB 3 is technically backwards compatible with USB 2).
