Hi Peter,
The Babyface Pro FS is an excellent interface and every RME recording interface has TotalMix FX as a mixer.
There are only minor differences in the device features. You can have a look at my Excel table to get an overview of the differences. Here I have collected information from various sources (manuals, website, RME USer Forum). This allows a quick overview down to technical details such as converter latency or smallest ASIO buffersize at single speed and much more:

The advantage of the Babyface Pro FS is that you get a very high quality portable interface that can be operated via USB Bus Powered as well as with a power supply, by the way with very fast converters.
It might also be worthwhile for you to consider the new UCX II, the devices in 9.5" inch format are also very compact and can be stowed in a suitcase, backpack or hand luggage (but are not USB bus powered).
With the UCX II, I would see the advantage for you that you would not have to do without certain features. The UCX II has the preamps of the UFX II and also has features such as stand-alone operation via display, autoset and above all DURec. DURec in particular could be interesting for you because you would have the same possibilities for backup and stand-alone recording as with the UFX+/II.
Another interesting feature is the AES port, which could be used to connect an ADI-2 Pro FS R BE, for example, and still leave the ADAT port free for connecting a preamp or AD/DA converter (which may be available on site). Perhaps also the full implementation of the FX chip in the UCX II.
Here's an article about the main features of the UCX II: https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=33222
I'm glad you like TotalMix FX. For that reason alone, you should get yourself a compact RME recording interface. What else is on the market won't satisfy you. Besides, you would have a great backup device or you can even use it in your main setup with UFX+ to integrate additional microphone channels (2) and another headphone output via ADAT and/or AES. The operability via display in standalone mode would be an additional advantage.
