Topic: [Solved] UCXll not working. Brand new Mac mini m1

Got the mini today. All set up.

Drivers “installed”?? And not working. I did the “reboot in recovery” thing, down grade security, etc restart.

Then downloaded drivers. Installed. Nothing. Launched total mix. Nothing. Won’t even all work me to “allow” in security and privacy.

If I go into system preferences under network the thunderbolt bridge is not connected. I think? This is the problem? I have the ucx plugged into the usb3 port at the back

My lan didn’t connect initially either. Not sure what’s going on??

Security settings?

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

Thunderbolt bridge is not connected. This is normal unless you have an adapter with ethernet cable connected to the USB-3 port.
This is the driver you have installed ?

Is it possible for you to test the interface on another computer ?
May be your USB cable is broken ?

Yes, that’s the driver.  The cable is the one supplied by RME.

If I open the RME fire face usb settings program the ucx is showing  up. Firmware v37, 3.27 driver

But nothing in total mix

in security it says rme gumbo was blocked, but its not letting me "allow" it. The allow button is grey

Boom. Got it working. Had to unlock the security thing. RME allowed driver working!

yup! its been a while since I installed on a Mac. must be a new thing to "allow".

Side note should it take 12 hours to download Monterey ? yikes.

now I'm getting "noise" out of my speakers. Not sure if its the Mac, or the icx. Everything else is the same.
nothing is different.

Download speed is 70mbps. iPad is a tad over 400

ok lan is now 1030mbps! yes!

I checked my network, and cabling. Guess which outlet was NOT upgraded from cat 5 to cat 6?? Only one guess now.


Still getting a faint noise from the studio monitors. It may have been there all along. This mini is dead silent and my display is making a noise I didn't hear before. So its likely  this is the case.

Mow I got some playing around to do and learn total mix.
