Topic: Midi ports on a standalone device ?

Hi, I have configured my FF400 as a standalone unit, linked through ADAT to my FF800 which is connected to the computer

As per in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfexKXS7wNk

I am wondering if the's a way to use the midi ports on the FF400, because I am losing a port with the FF800

Or should I invert and use the FF800 in standalone mode maybe ?

Thanks

Re: Midi ports on a standalone device ?

No and no.
Without computer-connection a midiport is useless.
The other way around is the same situation regarding midi.

Re: Midi ports on a standalone device ?

Thanks, I get it. But the other way around I'd have one more port on the FF400 at least...Maybe worth trying

Re: Midi ports on a standalone device ?

If the FF400 has 2 midi I/O and the 800 one and you have use for 2, then yes that is something to do, not just try lol.
