Topic: UCX II front-side plastic film

Is there supposed to be a removable plastic film on the front-side of UCX II?
I got a brand-new device, and there are plastic edges around the buttons that look untidy, but I didn't see a way to remove the film either.

Carefully use a toothpick to get under it and remove

It took me a month to get there. I saw an ad, and like why is not mine shiny like that
