Topic: [Solved] UCX doesn't connect automatically on Mac

Hi Guys!
I noticed that UCX doesn't connect as much by default as it used to.
I mean the situation when plugging the USB cable into the computer made the UCX connect automatically in no time.  Now it looks completely different.
First I need to connect the USB cable to the computer and then turn on the UCX. If I pull out the cable and put it back in, the UCX/TotalMix won't connect - why is that?
Does any of you have a similar problem?

Mac Monterey 12.0, M1 Pro (brand new)

Latest UCX firmware. I also did SMC reset (USB ports reset)

I am using regular USB cable with Apple converter to USB C & yesterday I noticed that disconnecting the cable from the converter/adapter (which is plugged into the computer) and plug it in again to adapter does not cause any trouble.
But if I detach adapter (with a usb cable plugged into it) from the computer and plug it in again into computer then the computer no longer automatically connects to the UCX - that's super wird.

I think I understand. And that you tell me that an additional adapter screws Plug&Play recognition. We will not be able to fix that.

I bought proper cable USB B to USB C and still have this issue sad it's super annoying.
Please let me know what it might be.

Are you still on 12.0? Current one is 12.4.

I upgraded to 12.4. and still have this problem.

On my M1 Mac Mini recognition is flawless, no matter how I connect the UCX. I'm on DriverKit beta driver 4.03, though. You did not mention your driver version.

Well, I did not expect you to be on a firmware older than 2016. As you can read in the readme the PnP issue was solved already in firmware 47 (in 2017). Hope you are on 49 now...
