Topic: Different EQ‘d Signals routed into one output channel?

Hey everybody,

I am using an Fireface UCXii.

ist it possible e.g. for Bassmanagement to use one Output Channel and route different eq‘d signals into it?

For example I could have Output 1. and into this Output, I send a LFE Signal, which has a Highcut at 120Hz and for Example all other Channels, routed into Output 1, which have a highcut at 85Hz.

I also know, that one can‘t EQ the Computer Channels. Only the Inputs and Outputs.

So I came up with the Idea to loopback the AES/EBU Output Channel to the AES/EBU Input Channel as I don‘t need it. Then I could EQ the input signal and send it back to the Output 1 Bassmanagement Channel.

But then I found Out, that the Loopback‘ed signal is only available in the DAW to record and not in totalmix anymore.

Do someone know how I can achieve what I want, without using an extra Cable?

Of course, I could use another Hardware Output and use a y-cable or something like that or just do manual loopback with a cable, but there is so much possible in totalmix that I think, there exists a workaround for my problem, direktly in totalmixfx.

Thank you for your help!

PS: Does maybe the funktion exist to enable loopback with the possibility to get feedback routings directly in totalmixfx?

You say you don't need AES - so why not simply connect input and output?

This is exactly what I will do. I ordered a AES XLR Cable yesterday. Thank you for the help!

???? The UCX II has a breakout cable with two XLRs. No extra cable needed.

Haha! xD So true. I was not in the studio this week. Total misconception! So it‘s much easier than I thought.
