Topic: Reverb/echo/dynamics on host or on interface?

In the Babyface manual it mentions that "However, Reverb and Echo are calculated on the
host CPU - the computer. " which means they are not available in standalone.  Is this the case for all the interfaces, or do the higher-end ones do DSP on-board?

Thanks!

Re: Reverb/echo/dynamics on host or on interface?

Only BBF Pro has this to save some energy, as it also needs to be able to run USB bus powered.

The other/higher recording interfaces with FX chip have a full implementation of FX chip on board, e.g.:
UCX, UCX II, 802, UFX, UFX II, UFX+, HDSPe MADI FX, MADIface XT.

BR Ramses - UFX III, 12Mic, XTC, ADI-2 Pro FS R BE, RayDAT, X10SRi-F, E5-1680v4, Win10Pro22H2, Cub13
