An atmos receiver or processor will have upmix modes that will take even a stereo track and push it to your multi-channel array. I actually like listening to music in DTS Neural-X as it lends a sense of spaciousness to the sound. IMO, it is worth adding ceiling speakers, but don't go nuts on spending a fortune on speakers and additional amps. They are essentially effects speakers and, as such, don't need a fantastic frequency range. Also, with modern processing room correction, even timbre matching Tutuapp 9Apps Showbox is not such a big thing.
