Topic: USB 2.0 cable with ferrite core useful?

Dear RME user community,

I am setting up my audio system and connecting a Mac to an ADI-2 DAC FS via USB2.0. I would like to get a shorter (and white ;-)) USB cable and am just wondering:

Does a USB cable with a ferrite core still make sense today? Or is the normal shielding of the cable usually sufficient?

Best regards,
Marc

Ferrite cores never made sense on USB cables.

They make for good stoppers, so the cable doesn’t slip from the table, when unconnected wink
