Topic: RME Digiface not sending output to ferrofish pulse 16

Hi all

I have just brought a RME Digiface and a ferrofish pulse 16.

The Digiface is outputing audio at the headpones output, a singnal is present on Totalmix, the Digiface is showing its sync'd to the plus 16 via ADAT at 48 KHz, and the ferrofish pulse 16 is showing the same sample rate, so they are syncing fine. I can change the sample rate in Logic also, but for the life of me can not get any audio to come out of chan 1-2 to my monitors. No audio output at all from my pulse 16, its all working bar the final stage on the pulse 16.

Can any hazard a guest is whats wrong?

IIRC, the ADAT 1 port on that unit can be made to work in SPDIF mode. Check HDSP Settings app.

Hello!

Also, in the "Control Room" section(third row in TMFX), click on "Assign" button and set "ADAT 1+2" as your Main Out!

Hi Both

I checked and both seem to be working fine.

Its well strange as i still can't get an output from the Digiface to send to any output on the Pulse 16.

You can see from the screen shots audio is being sent from the Digiface, its sync'd to adat + the first screen shot is showing a guitar input coming in a chan 1 on input 1 on the pulse 16 and showing up on total mix as adat input 9-10.

When I plug in a guitar a signal is present on input 1 of the pulse 16 and its also coming out of output 1 and I can hear that if i plug in my monitors.

Cheers in advance for all your help, I have had both the Digiface and the Ferrofish for nearly a month now and can get it to work or output audio from my macbook.

For audio to come out of the ferrofish you need to send audio out of the proper adat out (if you connected the right way adat out1/2.
If you don't see audio at adat out 1/2 in the bottom row in totalmix, you will not hear it too. If you have audio at the adat out1/2 in bottom row, you can be sure it is coming out of that port (if it is set to adat out and not spdif). Then it is a matter of connecting that adat out (1) to adat in 1 on the ferrofish.
