Hello everyone.
I have ADI-2 Pro FS R BE and external bass processor/amplifier. Bass amp have AES output.
I can simply connect AES amp output to ADI-2 input - and it works - I can hear bass signal via phones (PH 3/4). But I want additionally have connection from my laptop to ADI-2 via USB - to play along and practice.
Is it possible to mix AES and USB inputs to phones output?
No, mixing has to be done using the monitoring function of your DAW.
It's a bit overkill to use DAW for that. I have some video lessons and play along videos. YouTube as well. I just simply want to start playing some video/audio in browser (or video player) and hear that sound in my headphones. As well as sound coming from bass processor - just mixed two sources in one output.
Is there are any way to use ADI-2 Pro for that?
Again, no mixing function in ADI-2, sorry.
Possibly the Windows mixer might help, but latency can spoil the result.
Else:
If you can solder of find someone to do it for you (Pro Audio shops have such people):
The PH 1/2 and PH 3/4 outputs could be “mixed” together with a special made cable containing 4 resistors of about 33 Ohm each (exact value doesn’t matter).
If you have headphones with balanced connections it’s even simpler:
Use a cable according to manual page 71, lowest schematic.
Plug the balanced phones in, but don’t switch ADI-2 Pro to balanced mode.
Result: PH1/2 and PH 3/4 will be mixed.

Do you mean that AES input going to PH1/2 and USB input going to PH3/4 (or vise versa)?
In that case - will it be real mix, or one singal will be in left headphone, and another - in right headphone?
