Topic: AES-32 playing 6 channel interleaved WAV

I am using driver 3.06.5 with an HDSP AES-32 card under WinXP SP3.

When I play a 6 channel test file through Windows Media Player or other playout applications to o/p 1+2 the audio appears on channels 1,2,3,4,7,8 instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6 - the matrix patch is set to 1:1

I reloaded the original Beta WDM driver dated February 2007 and the channel patching is correct.

For an immediate fix the channels can be repatched in the "Matrix", but strangely if you play a stereo file to o/p 1+2 with the WaveformExtensible ChannelMask set to 0x03, 0x06 or 0x0c the audio appears on o/ps 1+2, 3+4 and 5+6 respectively which is correct. So the error is only present when the ChannelMask is 0x3f or more correctly when it contains more than 2 bits set.

Is this a feature of the latest driver.
