Topic: AN1 -> 2 Disables the input rather than copying to AN 2

I have a Shure SM7B microphone connected to the AN1 input on a BabyFace Pro FS.

As expected, the sound is hard panned to the left, but I would like the sound to be centered.

I notice there is an AN1 -> 2 button available, but when I click it, the input from the microphone is shut off.

Any idea what's going on? Did I misunderstand the purpose of the AN1 -> 2 button?

The BabyFace Pro FS firmware is on version 200, and the Windows driver is version 1.221

Thanks for any help.

Re: AN1 -> 2 Disables the input rather than copying to AN 2

Confirmed, that's a bug in the firmware of the newer ESS BF. The bug is that channel 1 and 2 are flipped for this functionality. And that also means there is a simple workaround: use Mic 2 as input, switch the button AN1->2, and the signal will also show up on channel 1. That should do it until we get a fixed firmware.

The new Mac firmware 205/320 fixes this. Windows FUT should be there on Monday.
