Topic: Instrument input too quiet/low with babyface pro fs

Hi! I just recently acquired a Babyface Pro Fs.

However when I wanted to record my Fender Stratocaster the volume was pretty quiet. I don't have much audio engineering and I do not know what causes this. The volume was alright on my previous interface (Focusrite solo). On total mix I have gain all the way up (+9dB) and also turned on that button with +4dBdu.

It's still pretty quiet and I also tested it with my acoustic guitar (taylor 114ce) and that one also sounds really quiet so it's definitely something I am doing wrong.

Does anyone know what to do here? Do I just gain it in my DAW or will that run me into other issues? I would prefer to fix it at the source.

'That button' must be set to -10 dBV to get more volume. More is currently not possible, but planned for a later firmware update.

Wow good News! I am still using FF400 or 800 with Instrument Input. They have more gain.
