Topic: Any new AVB device in the near future?
Dear RME,
I know you generally don't give up info on new products before they are announced but, can I expect any new interface with built-in AVB in the next future?

Not sure the AVB/milan format has really gained adoption momentum in the last few years.
Unfortunately...
I still like the RME AVB devices a lot. But why is there a Digiface Ravenna (with built in Ethernet switch) and on the AVB side there is still the Digiface AVB with just one Ethernetport.
And talking about connectivity: Why aren't there any ethernet switches built into the M32 / M1601 series? (For daisy chaining larger setups...)
+1
Developing an AVB switch is very complex. It's not just a switch chip. You need a processor system and software to run the gPTP, SRP, MVRP an so on.
Some RME avb devices have two ethernet ports, not for daisy chaining but for redundancy. Redundancy is feature defined in the Milan spec.
