Topic: Fireface uc digital connection

Hi! I have questions on a digital output on Fireface UC.

My friend will give me Fireface UC and I have Genelec 8341 pair and 7360.

And I'm planning to get a new SPDIF AES/EBU cable (110 ohm) to connect it. But I'm not clearly sure if it is okay to connect two gears with new cable (without impedance converter) because of the impedance difference. So I searched the manual for related information, but couldn't get a clear answer. It was just saying it's AES compatible. (Or I couldn't find it.)

1. Should I be worried about the impedance conversion and buy an additional impedance converter?

2. If I buy the converter, is there any audio loss possibilities like jitter?

Thanks

The SPDIF output can be set to "Professional" in the Settings dialog, which is for AES/EBU. You will only need a suitable cable. There is no audio loss or "jitter" involved.
