Topic: MADIface USB bandwidth... does it change?

I've got a TV remote project coming up and we've purchased 4-MADIface USB units to feed two computers with 128-IO each.  I doubt that I'll need more than 96-IO total and am wondering if the USB bandwidth changes if only using 48-channels per unit as opposed to 64-channels, or is the driver using the full 480Mb speed of USB-2 regardless of the channel count?

I'd love to option to lower CPU usage if it changes at all.

Thanks...

USB2 supports up to 70ch according to RME. Nothing to worry about.

Re: MADIface USB bandwidth... does it change?

Thanks for the reply, and I am connecting each MADIface to a separate USB buss on the Macs... so far no issues.  Really just wondered if bandwidth changed with stream count.

Thanks again

If you connect two per USB to one computer, then look that the MADIface USB are behind two different USB controllers.

It does not, all I/O channels are active at the driver level, even when no audio is present.
