Topic: Firefa800 disconnect with Mac Pro 5.1

Hi,

I have an ff800 connected with the rear fw800 port to a mac pro 5.1.
Always perfectly stable.

Today, with the mac on and the fireface 800 on, I connected an external hd (wd) to the fw800 front port and I noticed a disconnection (red light) of a few seconds. But is this normal? Are the mac pro's fw800 ports not independent? Thank you.

A bus reset is needed when new devices join the group...quite normal...

So it's not a malfunction of the Fireface 800 or the mac's fw port?
