Topic: ASIO MADIface USB for Foobar 2.0-X64?

Hello,

During the last weeks I have tested the new Foobar 2.0 with my ADI-2 Pro AE using the ASIO MADIface USB each in the 32-bit and 64-bit Foobar version.
The 32-bit version is working perfectly but it seems that there is no 64 bit version of the ASIO Madiface driver.
If this is the case is it planned to implement a 64 bit version?

Thank you for your feedback

Re: ASIO MADIface USB for Foobar 2.0-X64?

I am not aware of that RME has or distinguishes between 32 and 64 bit drivers.
Could you kindly tell, which file you downloaded and installed?
From what I can see, the MADIface uses the same driver as, e.g., UFX+ and many other current interfaces.
https://rme-audio.de/downloads/driver_m … _09794.zip

According to the README, the last change for the MADIface USB in this driver was in v 0.9609, April 2017.

As this is no complex interface with plenty of port types, this looks fair enough to be called, up-to-date enough.

More details, please, error messages, … Maybe a screenshot of the configuration of the RME ASIO driver in foobar v2.

Did you already cross-check with the old / mature foobar v1.x? Maybe a bug in the new v2?

I have downloaded and installed the driver version 9794.
This version is also visible in the following screenshots of the ASIO Madiface and foobar 2.0-x32:

Additionally a screenshot of foobar 2.0-x64 shows that no connection to the ASIO Madiface could have been established:

I haven't crosschecked it with foobar 1.0 because a 64-bit version did not exist.

The driver's 64 bit ASIO dll is in use with nearly any other software out there...

I think it is not important whether you use foobar in 32 or 64 bit.
The MADIface driver can be used with Cubase 64 bit, so I think it is not the issue that the MADIface driver wouldnt support 64 bit applications.

If I understand it correctly this would mean that there might be a Foobar connection error.
Is it possible to fix this error e.g. with a start of a service or a registry correction?

Re: ASIO MADIface USB for Foobar 2.0-X64?

Ok, I could fix this error mainly by restarting the PC after a beta 11 x64 installation:

For my favorite upsampling functionality I have already installed a new 64 bit Sox resampler

Now I should get rid of all Foobar preinstall directories and registry entries for all installed X-32 and x-64 beta versions. Obviously there are still some Beta 4 x64 elements taken either from the registry or from a preinstall file.

After that I will have to configure all the advanced settings manually
