Topic: HDSP MADI FX - AES output not available in some apps

This normally not an issue as I only see the problem in certain cases - For instance:

In Kontakt SA (standalone) the AES output doesn't show up as a possible choice, only the MADI instances.

I've recently taken on the task of learning Protools and have a similar issue there, Unlike Kontakt SA, PT can "see" the AES out but no matter what I try, Protools will not output on the AES buss, but has no problem with any of the MADI outs.

Is there something unique with the AES / Phones outs?

Yes, too many channels for some apps, and unequal number of inputs (194) and outputs (196). Both point to sloppy programming in the respective app...
