I am going to guess.. RME.. no idea what these letters unpack to despite using for years. I can't find any info.. sorry, help!

ADI-2... Audio Digital Interface? Analog Digital Interface? I am guessing.. Pro.. Professional.. FS... Femtosecond? Guessing.. R... No idea? Remote? Reference? BE.. Black Edition..

Thank you that was a very informative article. Sound on Sound magazine has a lot of quality reviews and stories. I agree I think it was originally a shortening of Ralf Mannel's name and something like Electronics.
