Topic: RME Fireface UC disconnects every five minutes

Hello,

I have a brand new PC that I use for music production:

Case Corsair 570X RGB
CPU ADM Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU MSI RTX 4070 ti Gaming X Trio
M2 Samsung SSD 860 Evo 500go with Win 10 Pro on it
Sata 2.5" SSD Samsung SSD 870 Evo 1To
Sata 2.5" SSD Samsung SSD 970 Evo 500go
Sata HDD Seagate 2To
USB 3.0 HDD Seagate 4To
Watercooling Corsair H100i Capellix
RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro SL 16go x2
MB Asus Prime x570-p
PSU Corsair rm850 Gold 80+
USB 2.0 Audio Interface RME Fireface UC


I'm currently experiencing a new problem since today : every 5min or around every couple minutes, the Fireface UC seems disconnected (no sound for 3 seconds), then reconnected (sound for 1 second), then disconnected (no sound for 1 second), then reconnect and let's go for another cycle of approximatively 5min.

The PC is brand new, the BIOS is up to date.
I tried on USB 3.0 and 3.1 and sometimes my PC just don't recognize my audio interface with them.
I tried another random cable from a printer and it's the same.
The Fireface is working 100% on my laptop.
The Fireface driver and firmware are up to date too.

Maybe a software problem ? I'm thinking about checking USB voltage maybe ?

The USB port seems OK (my keyboard works fine while plugged in, my external HDD too).

Hello!

You should try setting "USB selective Suspension" to "Off". Link: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/731 … -10-a.html check "Option One"

If this doesn 't work, connect your FF UC to another Usb Port(preferably, one that comes directly from the CPU, check your MoBo's manual)

If this, also, doesn't work, you should start unplugging any Usb devices connected to your computer and check. If you 're using a hub with your FF UC, connect the FF directly to Usb.

Also, can you, please, post the FF UC 's driver and firmware version numbers?
