Topic: Poor Service From RME

Via BAX Music in Goes I bought the RME ADI-2Pro FSR AD/DA converter.
A few weeks ago out of the blue the power button starts blinking (red) and it was not possible to power it on.
The warranty period still applies but RME told BAX Music (registered under nr. 38089233_1203092477)that repair will not be under warranty cause the issue is not caused by a production or material failure???
How on earth could I prevent the blinking since I've done nothing wrong.
The repair cost including porto will set me back for €442,00.
I intend to send out an alert for this poor service on all sites that reviewed the RME ADI-2 cause it's not alone by making a profit but also to take after sales responsibility.
As for me I will not have the ADI -2 repaired  but ordered yesterday a DAC from another branche.(Chinese but according to users with good support/service)

regards,
Robbs

Re: Poor Service From RME

Maybe a bit fast - wait for a reply here from RME before acting.
RME usually has a great customers service.

Re: Poor Service From RME

And if it is within warranty Bax is responsible for the free repair, of course working together with RME. But in the Netherlands where I live too, the seller is responsible. They can not refuse because RME does. I can not imagine RME refuses, but one valid reason would be if Bax did a grey import and then it is 100% baxs responsibility. So don't give up yet.

Bax have a terrible rep for customer service, keep pushing them. RME support has always been outstanding, in my experience.
