Topic: Just listen to the radio - with Babyface Pro

A brief report for those who might be interested:

Listen to Radio with a PC + Babyface Pro + Audials Play (freeware on many platforms):

1) "Audials Play" options / common / soundcard = 'ADAT (7+8) (RME Babyface Pro)'
I do not know, why I cannot select 'SPDIF/ADAT (1+2)(RME Babyface Pro)' any more; however, it works
2) PC > USB > "Babyface Pro" (the old one, NOT FS)
3) "TotalMixFx": Signal at 'SOFTWARE PLAYBACK ADAT 7/8', routed to 'HARDWARE OUTPUT AN 1/2' + 'MAIN' = 'PH 3/4'
a) 'AN 1/2' = via XLR directly to monitors
b) 'PH 3/4' = directly plugged headphones with low impedance (6,35mm audio jack, because +13 dBu > +7 dBu)
c) Alternative: PH 3/4 via 6,35mm audio jack (because unbalanced) + 2 x cinch to my old amplifier > input AUX

Remark:
Yes, right, too much technology for a bit of radio. Still, it sounds much better.
Typically 128 bps MP3, but there are also some classic stations with up to 256 bps MP3.
I also tested DAB+, but here there is the same quality; or less.
The same is true for cable radio (in Germany), at least according to my tests.
I cannot judge the old analog radio, I lack the test equipment for that. In any case, I hardly hear a difference - with much more noise.
My summary: I don't need a radio, receiver or cable: It doesn't get much better than via the Internet.
"Audials Play" has proven its worth, since, for example, the favorites can be found automatically on the smartphone as well.

Yes, this is not CD, not HiRes, but at least for me practical. I did not find any HiRes-radio-channels. Any comments?
