Topic: discontinued adi-2 / fireface uc

Hello,

I am using with a lot of pleasure a RME Fireface UC on my PC to create sound for 3 way acrive speakers of my design.

I have a Neumann NDH-30 Headphone that I use to check the sound of my speakers and that I can plug to output 7/8.

I wonder how the older ADI-2 compares in term of power and DAC for headphone use, talking about that one.

My Fireface didn't have enough juice for a Heddphone from Hedd but ok with Neumann NDH30

Then I wonder if it could be used as a standalone without pc ?

Of course newer fs would be perfect but I would have to save...

If you‘re just out for “juice”, why not get an Schiit Magni 3+ for $79, 115 V B-stock US-version:

There was not enough power for heddphone from hedd but with Neumann ndh30 it is ok.

I am looking for a second all in one box.

Perhaps chord mojo2 will do the trick.

Even though I would have like an adi-2 fs

Babyface Pro would be a nicer option IMO.
