Topic: Hi-Z vs line input - switchable or not, why?

On the Babyface Pro the Hi-Z input is not switchable and "good" that way for line input. On other interfaces there is a switch to change between Hi-Z and line or different inputs are used (UCX for example). Why is that when there is no benefit of a lower impedance line input?
